We just had a fantastic week staying in Parada cottage with our two labs. The cottage was great with every thing you needed and dog friendly, with a fenced patio area.It was so good just to go out of your door and into the fields, woodland and stream. We all loved it and will be back. Many thanks.

Had a smashing week at Mineshop. Weather was great for the time of year and loved the walk down to Crackington Haven. The dog must have thought he'd died and gone to doggy heaven, I've never known him sleep all the way home from cornwall! :) Can't wait to book up and come again, thanks for making us feel so welcome

We have recently returned from a week in Kiberick Cottage (arrived 1st July, having never stayed before). A lot of research went into finding Mineshop as it had to be right for the dogs as well as for us! We had a really, really, REALLY great holiday with our 2 dogs, Tia and Sid (me who never wanted to visit Cornwall before!) The weather was very kind to us and the cottage suited us and the dogs exactly - piping hot showers, plug by mirror for blowdrying my hair ;-), plenty of room for the dogs crates in the living area, grass just outside the patio ready for early and late 'visits' for the dogs, large very private gated patio, lovely and detached and secluded, beautifully peaceful and quiet and finally the meadow/valley/field was perfect for fantastic off lead exercise for the dogs. Several other dogs were staying the week we were so lots of new friends to make and play with! Great, relatively easy walk down into Crackington Haven for a lovely lunch at the pub or equally great food at either cafe! (word of warning this beach is not dog friendly between easter and october) We did visit though Trebarwith Strand and Widemouth Bay(Blackrock I think) which both had carparking nearby, cafe and toilets and small shop. Finally we cannot thank our hosts enough for helping us (after our car broke down on arrival!) by taking numerous phone calls and the passing on, off messages. Fingers crossed will be back next year :-))

Just returned about five hours ago from a week in Kiberick cottage. Great location, cottage well equiped, clean and comfortable. In fact everything it claimed and more! Tess and Rufus(our dogs) loved it, greenfield walks outside the front door - luxury!! Charlie and Jane very helpful and friendly. Highly Recommend!!!

My dogs and I have now stayed at Mineshop three times, the last in May, and each stay has surpassed the previous one. I was really pleasantly surprised to find the place just as relaxing in May as in November and February despite the fact the season was well under way. Most of the other cottages were occupied but I was barely aware there was anyone else about unless I happened upon them taking a morning walk in the fields by the stream. I cannot recommend Mineshop enough if you want to take some refuge from a world dominated by noisy crowds, traffic jams, mobile phones and the internet

Fantastic Holiday! Stayed in Garyvoe, lovely cottage, very cosy and warm. We took our two large dogs and there was plenty of room for us all. The photos do not do justice to how nice the cottage is. Having a gate that can be closed around the patio area was great so the dogs could go outside but not escape! We would really recommend for people wanting a nice, relaxing, peaceful holiday and enjoy nice walks!

Rusey Cottage Friday 15th April - Friday 22nd April. Firstly, Charlie and Jane this is just to say thank you so much for a wonderful holiday that John, myself and our springer spaniel Mollie had. This is a holiday that we will recommend to all our friends. Secondly, thank you so much for the most amazing scones we have ever had, and it was so kind of you. Can I be cheeky and ask for the recipe. Once again thank you so much. The cottage was brilliant also. Nice memories.

Recently returned from a week at Mineshop cottages with our dog. We enjoyed a very relaxing time, walking and chilling in this beautiful spot it was so peaceful we will definately be coming back
-
The only thing that let us down was the weather - cold and damp, but so warm and cosy in the cottage, specially when we lit the woodburner! Really beautiful situation, appreciated by both humans and dog. (Apart from when he managed to get into the pig pen and had to be hosed off!) Thank you for a friendly and relaxing break, and we will certainly be back soon
-
Really enjoyed our first visit to the Miners Cottages, after looking at the other reviews we were a little concerned that the Cottages might be Doggy, but far from it, we were really pleased with the Cottage, really clean and tidy, amazing location, we will be back, thanks to the Owners who do a wonderful job
-
There is nothing I can really add to the previous reviews - the perfect place if you want peace and quiet and time to yourself and a lovely reward for my dogs for being such faithful companions. Biba, Frankie, Roxie and 'Mum' will be returning very soon for another respite from the fast lane of life

Our first visit was 8/10/10 and everything was as we hoped. The cabin is totally dog friendly, clean and warm and the outside space is absolutely great for dogs to run around. Kaiser had so much fun in the river and on the beach, he was a joy to watch. We are already planning Kaiser's next vacation in the spring.

ust spent last week at Mineshop in a "miners cottage". Can't speak highly enough of our stay.Spotlessly clean, everything on hand for humans and dogs and despite being "in a row" of cottages you'd never know anyone else was there. Great base for all of Cornwall, will be booking for next year asap. Thanks for a great stay

Still enjoying our first visit to Mineshop and we are already planning next years stay

We have just got back from our second holiday in The Old Smithey (the first 2007). Again we had a wonderful time. The peace and quiet of the valley is wonderful after the stress of a working life. Our three 'Goldies' loved it too (particularly the stream in the fields!!. Would recommend (and we have) to anyone.. particullarly if they have dogs who are so welcome. Loved Mutley the resident Collie, such a sweetie.

I hope to visit the Valley later this year but was intrigued to see pictures. I have many happy memories of staying with the Lees on the farm in the 1940's and wonderful times exploring the area with my parents. I well remember the farm house which had no mod. cons. and of eating the strawberries grown by the Lees, Mr. and Mrs. Lee, and her brother.A magical place and time which shall stay in my memories even though I am well into my 70'

We had a lovely chilled weekend, it was so peaceful. It was really cold weather, yet we were so cosy in the miners cottage. will sure be back again. Many thanks.
-
Stayed for our first time at Mineshop in February 2010, we were shocked at the quality of the Cottages and the valley location considering the bargain price we paid, only £214.00. We have stayed at many Cottages in Cornwall and have paid a lot more and got a lot less. As others say we will return. Also have have to say these Cottages are kept to a very good standard and are very clean. Well done to the owners
-
Have stayed at Mineshop in most of these stuniing clean Cottages over the years and as always enjoyed the peace and quite and the valley walks, we have 2 children who alos love this unique stunning location. Ca=ught bass fromthe beach this year, not bad for our first attempt of beachcasting. We will return
-
