We love staying at Mineshop so much. Last week we introduced my daughter and grandsons too. We had a marvellous time - even the weather cooperated! The stresses of everyday life fall away the minute you arrive. Cannot recommend highly enough

Always a lovely place to stay.
Peaceful and quiet but within reach of lots of interesting places. Ideal if you have a dog.

  • Lyn Yapp (Saturday, October 28 17 08:53 am BST)

A fabulous location with easy access to a variety of places to visit. The beach at Crackington Haven was grandson Ben's favourite. Hetty, the chocolate Labrador was in heaven. Our cottage, Parada was comfortable...beds really comfy. The cottage was very well equipped, even down to a corkscrew and bottle opener! Would definitely recommend a stay at this lovely spot and look forward to visiting again.

Always enjoy coming down for a break, look on Parada as our 2nd home. Enjoyed our stay in June and last week Lots of coastal walks, especially Crackington and Boscastle
Hope to see you next year

We had an amazing stay our first visit to Rostowan the first week of June this year. Beautiful secluded quiet cottage. Lovely walks and beach very close that you can take the dogs on. Weather was unbelievably hot this year. Lovely walk to Porthscatho pub.

We had another wonderful stay at Old Shippon the first week of September. Lovely cream tea on arrival. First time the weather has not been so kind to us. But doesnt stop you enjoying the coast and countryside. Very kind and helpful family run cottages. Hope to see you all next year.

Had such a lovely time staying at The Old shippon, can not wait to come back next year. The scones on arrival were a lovely touch and delicious. My little girl Ava can't wait to come back and see Boris and of course Mutley xx

Had a fab holiday at Mineshop. Stayed in Kiberick which was perfect, especially for the dog. Enjoyed the walk to the beach and some fine waves for bodyboarding. Mineshop is so peaceful and a great place for all the family to enjoy a holiday. Would like to come back another year.

  • Jim Wickenden (Monday, July 31 17 02:50 pm BST)

Had the best week away in the lovely little Garyvoe cottage. The perfect place to escape to for plenty of fresh air, long walks, beautiful countryside and peace and quiet.
The cottage was the perfect base for visiting Cornwalls many scenic spots! The kids were happy so we were and can't wait to visit again soon!

Just got back from a week at the cottages. It was superb. The kids loved it, the dog loved it and the wife and I loved it. It's such a beautiful place and we're already looking for a chance to get back there. Thanks to all who made our stay so good.

  • Helen & Martin (Thursday, January 05 17 01:27 pm GMT)

Lovely little "cabin", very clean, bright and airy in a stunning location. Perfect spot for exploring this amazing part of Cornwall. We were left totally to ourselves, so didn't actually get to meet any of the family, but this wasn't a drawback at all. Maybe next time, eh? Great to be so dog friendly, too.

  • Lisa Greenhow (Saturday, December 24 16 08:46 am GMT)

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Mineshop, The Old Shippon was the perfect place for a visit to Cornwall in November, a very warm, cosy and well equipped cottage, the cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch and very tasty too.
The dogs loved the garden and lounging around on the decking but given the choice would have spent their whole holiday playing in the stream and meadows - it's a little slice of doggy paradise!!
Looking forward to our next visit to this special place.

  • Denis Charman (Thursday, November 10 16 03:08 pm GMT)

My wife and i stayed in "Rusey Cottage" which was like home from home and the enclosed garden was a great addition for our dog Jane.
The cream tea was a really nice touch for our arrival, thank you.

First time in thirty years that I've been there and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Good area and good location. Comfortable and clean accomadation. Will definitely be back.

  • Pat Heath (Sunday, September 04 16 07:15 pm BST)

This is our family paradise - an escape into a breathtakingly beautiful place, hosted by the nicest people you could meet. Let's just say, our first visit was 30 years ago - and it still can't be
beaten - we're counting the days until the next time.

  • Sarah Matthews (Thursday, September 01 16 05:12 pm BST)

Wonderful peaceful fortnight staying at Mineshop holiday Parada cottage.(family of 4 plus dog) Beautiful location walked to Crackington Haven in the evening but tended to go to dog friendly beaches
at Widemouth and Bude. Also easy to visit Eden Project, Tamar Otter centre etc. Scrumptious cream tea on arrival!

  • Malcolm Mackenzie (Friday, August 26 16 05:51 pm BST)

We had a lovely holiday in Rostowan and found it perfect for our two dogs who could roam around the garden without causing us any concern at all. Sitting outside in the sun was very hot and we would
have liked to have had a parasol on the premises. No other criticism!

  • Steve Hurdley (Thursday, August 25 16 09:24 am BST)

Have just returned home from a wonderful two weeks at Mineshop. This has to be one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. The cottage was just as described and the location, well what can I
I really miss going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the stream. The walk along the path is lovely, don't rush there is so much to take in. We will be definitely going again. Forgot to mention
the cream tea on arrival - just the job!

  • Julia, Steve, Jared, Erin & Fiz (Monday, August 22 16 07:22 am BST)

The Old Shippon was clean, comfortable and well equipped. A lovely cream tea was very welcome on our arrival. The location is fabulous, so peaceful and beautiful. The walk to The beach was idyllic
and, along with the stream side fields, made for excellent dog walking. The walk up to the local shop gave beautiful views over Mineshop.

  • Adrian, Bev & Caitlin Tighe & Dougal dog! (Monday, August 08 16 11:22 am BST)

Thank you for the delicious homemade scones with clotted cream & jam on arrival. A welcoming touch. Kallowen cottage has beautiful green views and the sound of the stream is soothing. Our
daughter had fun on the rope swing in the fields. A great base for a relaxing holiday. We loved Sandymouth beach (dog-friendly), Rebel cinema nearby for wet afternoon! Enjoyed evening meals at The
Coombe Barton Inn in Crackington Haven. We even took a day trip to the Miniature Pony Centre on Dartmoor & visited Chagford (about an hour away).

  • Riana Oeschger (Tuesday, May 10 16 11:37 am BST)

We just returned from four amazing days at Kiberick cottage with our dog, Liela. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped! There was plenty of space for the dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, to
run around. The walk to Crackington Haven was picture perfect. A lovely cream tea awaited us on arrival, much appreciated. We will certainly stay there again!

  • Denise Paddock (Friday, March 11 16 02:32 pm GMT)

  • richard Jones (Thursday, August 13 15 05:38 pm BST)

Our four young kids and energetic dog had a fantastic time staying at Old Shippon in early July. And we enjoyed the just long enough walk to the pub (or more importantly, back) ! The welcome and
friendly advice during our stay was brilliant, and the cottage was perfect for all we needed. The location is unique and we will be back - next time for longer.

ps. Tessa says woof woof to Muttley !

Had a lovely relaxing time, the walk to the beach is pleasant, it takes 15/20 minutes approx. but the was at a relaxed pace. Owners are very friendly and the cottage was clean and tidy. Would
recommend sitting on patio star gazing as it so dark and peaceful. Will be visiting again in future.

What a wonderful place. we stayed over the easter weekend this year and couldn't have had a better time anywhere else. such a lovely location and the cottage was perfect for us and nice and clean!
But it was the location and the nearby walks that did it for us and the only negative thing I can think of is how disappointed our dogs were when we got home. they are definitely homesick for

arrange for us! Already looking forward to our next visit!

  • Chris Latty (Monday, July 07 14 01:02 am BST)

Just spent two glorious weeks with you in the Old Shippon. We were so lucky with the weather. Did walk along the pathway down to the beach, but it wasn't flat - took us 45 minutes and had to use my
inhaler! The beach was very stoney due to all the torrential rain this year which must have been horrendous for the locals. Therefore, this brought in all the stones up onto the bay. Everyone was so
helpful and any problems were sorted out straightaway. Great having the use of a washing machine and drier as was able to clean all the clothes (make sure you have pound coins to put into meters).
Loved the view and the peace and quite. Thank you all again. Chris & Alan xx
